Al Bassami opens SR10m branch; plans to invest SR350M in various fields

JEDDAH — Al Bassami International Group inaugurated its new branch in the north of Jeddah, near King Abdulaziz International Airport, which serves all visitors of the entire western region at a cost of over SR10 million. This branch accommodates more than 1,000 vehicles a day, and is established over 40,000 square meters. The inauguration of this branch comes as part of the Group’s expansion plan for being one of the largest transportation companies in the Kingdom, and in line with Jeddah governorate’s development plan.
Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Bassami, director general of Al Bassami, said the Group is investing about SR350 million in several fields, including investment in human resources, investment in transport and other investments, as Al Bassami International is a pioneer of vehicle transportation in both KSA and the Middle East. He further said the success attained over 40 years since the Group’s establishment is a result of direct supervision by the Group’s Board Chairman Sheikh Mohammed Mohey Al Bassami.
At the inauguration of the new branch, Al Bassami Transport reported that the group has more than 30 branches, equipped with cutting-edge tools and equipment which help speedy and accurate completion of work, whether administratively, e.g., use of computers, information and training, or technically, using the Middle East’s most state-of-the-art machinery and cranes.
Moreover, the current branches cover all the Kingdom and neighboring countries; e.g. UAE, Jordan, Egypt and Sudan, and “we are looking forward to take a part in the global transport market in the future, depending on our cutting-edge fleet (which is) made up of 2,000 world-branded trucks to meet the growing demand for transport.”
Al Bassami Transport added that these strategic expansions in the Group’s businesses evidently reflect the accelerating evolution in the Group, distinguished services, high potential and capacities it provides for the sake of meeting the needs of all sectors in transport field. He noted that the Group is bound by transport agreements with a large number of companies and organizations in both public and private sectors, besides transport agreements with the Kingdom’s largest vehicle companies. He also said that the vehicle transport market reaches its climax in most celebrated seasons, e.g., summer vacation, holy month of Ramadan, and Haj season among the cities and neighboring countries, with about 50 daily trips in seasons.
Al Bassami Transport is providing distinct services, including vehicle transportation, distinguished transportation, door-to-door transportation, transportation of goods of all types, customs clearance at ports and outlets, in addition to vehicle tracking devices through Al Bassami Transport application on Android and Apple, and comprehensive insurance for all vehicles. Moreover, the Group is gird up to launch the road assistance service “Road” soon. — SG
